What we put on the calendar
Thursday to Saturday nights usually hold a set in The Lantern Bar. Larger rooms take private parties and ticketed dinners with a stage. The spa wing stays on its own timetable so a treatment is never booked against a drum kit.

Standing rooms with a late close
Birthday lists and brand after-parties that need a floor, not a banquet. We cap numbers so the room can still move. Last drinks follow the licence on the door that night.

Spa and wellness
Four rooms, steam, rest lounge
Massage, facial hours and a quiet lounge with tea. Used as a recovery day, a hens’ morning or the hour before a ceremony. Bookings are by appointment; the wing is not a walk-in high-street spa.

Spring, midwinter and New Year
Ticketed dinners with a short set, or a closed-door hire for your own list. We publish dates in March and September so regulars can hold a table before the room fills.

Acoustic hour
A single player, no drum kit, in The Lantern Bar from 18:00. Useful before a dinner when you want sound without a full production.
Dance floor
A sprung section in The Great Hall and a smaller floor in The Harbour Suite. Lighting is already hung; you choose the palette.
Private celebration
Birthdays, anniversaries and send-offs with a reserved bar tab and a run sheet. We do not add surprise acts unless you ask in writing.
Spa morning
Three hours in the still rooms with a light lunch next door. Groups of six or more need a deposit.
House playlist
If you do not bring an act, the desk loads a playlist you have approved. We do not play a default hotel loop.
Late kitchen
A short supper list after 21:30 when the hall is still open. The full restaurant menu closes earlier.
How we run the room
Door staff check bookings on ticketed nights. Water is on every bar. If a guest wants a quieter space, reception opens a side lounge. We work with the centre’s security team on load-out so neighbours on the retail floor are not walking through a pack-down.
Licensing
Alcohol service follows Victorian licence hours posted at reception. We stop service when those hours end, even if the room is still hired. Minors may attend private family events with a responsible adult; evening dance nights are sold as 18+ when the programme requires it.
