- 2022 spa wing
- 2026 still here
Our story
Runlinda opened in 2018 in a former function floor above the shops at 1341 Dandenong Road. The brief was simple: keep six rooms, a working restaurant and a small spa on the same key so a wedding, a board day and a Friday band could share a loading dock without sharing a corridor.
The company is Runlinda Ltd. We employ the coordinators, chefs, spa therapists and night managers directly. Contractors come in for heavy production only. That is why a site tour and a Saturday dinner are booked through the same number.
The team
About ninety people work the floor across a busy week: event coordinators, a kitchen brigade, sommeliers, spa therapists, and night managers who stay until the last lift. Most coordinators have been here more than three years, which means the person who walked your first tour is often the person on the radio during speeches.
Front of house is trained on dietary notes and on how to move a room when a speech overruns. We would rather hold a course than rush a toast.
How the desk is organised
Daytime enquiries sit with the events office. After 18:00, reception holds the phone and pages the duty manager. Spa bookings have their own diary so a treatment is never double-booked against a hall changeover.
How we work
Produce is bought from named Victorian suppliers first. Linen is laundered on a local contract. Food waste from the restaurant is separated; we publish a short note each year on what we diverted. We also hold two free community evenings a year for local schools and sports clubs that need a hall without a Saturday rate.
Guest wellbeing
Water is free at every bar. We train staff to offer a quieter room, a taxi and a pause in service if someone has had enough. Evening dance nights that are sold as 18+ are checked at the door. Family events stay family events.
Get in touch
If you want a tour, call the desk or send the form. We would rather walk the floor empty than sell a room from a photograph.
